Quotations

• Projects are usually agreed on a price-per-project basis
• The price for a project includes WORD-right’s research and two (2) rounds of revision
• Additional revisions and extensions to the project are charged at the hourly rate quoted
• All quotations are delivered as part of a Letter of Agreement. Both WORD-right and the client must sign this before work can commence

Pricing

• WORD-right usually works on a price-per-project basis, where the estimated time is charged at the prevailing hourly rate.
• For on-going projects, clients can opt to be charged on an hourly basis at the prevailing hourly rate, or on a day rate.
• WORD-right uses a time recording system to ensure accurate time records are maintained.
• The prevailing hourly rate is changed on an annual basis (on the anniversary of the first commission for each client).

Ownership

• Copyright to the assembled copy is owned by WORD-right.
• On completion of the project and after final payment is received, the copywriter will cede to the client all rights to the copy written by WORD-right.

Cancellation

• If the project is cancelled for whatever reason, before copy is delivered to the client, the client remains liable for the time expended to date.
• Once the initial copy is delivered to the client (electronically or by any other means) the client is liable for payment in full.
• If WORD-right is unable to complete the project (through illness, other personal reasons), the client may purchase any unfinished work from WORD-right

Partnership

• WORD-right expects to work in partnership with clients.
• Both parties agree to work together to complete the project to the agreed timescale.
• The client will provide WORD-right with the appropriate information to fulfil the brief.

• WORD-right will not disclose to any third party, information obtained as the result of a project.

Testimonials and Examples

• WORD-right may approach a client after a project is complete for a testimonial to be included in WORD-right’s portfolio, marketing information, or on the website.
• WORD-right may use all or part of a completed project in WORD-right’s portfolio, marketing information, or on the website UNLESS the client specifically declines. WORD-right will ALWAYS check first with the client.

Payment

• WORD-right is a small business, and expects prompt payment. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due within 15 days of delivery of the finished copy.
• Payments which are outstanding after 30 days will attract a 10% surcharge to cover costs of recovery. Clients who are consistently late payers will be asked to provide an up front deposit of 40% before a new project can be started.
• As a part of IDEAS-right Ltd, WORD-right is VAT registered.
• WORD-right prefers electronic payments. Our bank details are provided on each invoice.
• All cheques should be made payable to “IDEAS-right Ltd”

Communications and Delivery

• WORD-right is environmentally mindful, and so prefers electronic communications. These include email, telephone, and facsimile (facsimiles to WORD-right are delivered to email addresses).
• We understand that some clients prefer face-to-face communications.
• Completed copy is primarily delivered by email, usually in Microsoft Word format. Other formats can be accommodated – please ask.
